But while these are all great, they’re unlikely to sell in any great numbers at the moment, with the mainstream not yet feeling the need to have everything hooked up to the Internet. YouTube has recently announced the launch of a ‘TV Web site’ (located at youtube.com/tv) which is being initially targeted at PS3 and Wii owners. The need for a version of the site specifically designed for use on consoles is the lack, generally, of a keyboard and mouse. PS3 owners are stuck with a traditional controller while the Wii Remote offers a point and click variation on the mouse.

The new TV-optimized version of YouTube is stripped down, and offers the bare essentials. You can still log into your account or search for videos and channels but the layout has been altered to cater for console owners.

Conclusions

This is a good move when you consider that there are 40 million Wiis. 30 million Xboxes, and 20 million Playstation 3s in the world right now. And that figure is only going to climb over the next few years.

It could be that games consoles provide the perfect opportunity for video sites to start integrating more into the living room. And YouTube has seen the potential first, discounting the BBC iPlayer. Let’s just hope Hulu and the like now follow suit.

The first time you load everything up it might take sometime, but be patient. The big upload only has to happen that first time. Then from there on only files that are changed, or new documents and files are uploaded.

The Next Generation PC Systems

Change is coming soon. Technology has continued to evolve at break neck speed. The speed at which technology evolves is partly driven by increasing demands from the marketplace. Everyone wants more powerful systems that are highly reliable and can run faster. Hardware and software manufacturers are working in tandem to bring the next generation of computer systems to a whole new level.

It all starts from the CPU (Central Processing Unit). The CPU is like the heart of the system. Without a powerful "heart", other components cannot realize their full potential. Intel has recently announced the release of the Core i7 processors. This family of processors is radically different from previous generations. They are all quad core processors, with each core having dual threads. That means the CPU will appear to the operating system as 8 processors. Talk about power!

With more powerful processors, other components of the computer system have more processing power to utilize. An enthusiast will surely ask, "But what about the memory?" The memory of a computer system is another critical component that affects the overall speed of the system. If the memory is not upgraded, there will be a bottle neck, and even the fastest of CPUs will be rendered ineffective.

The Core processors support triple channel DDR3 memory. Memory manufacturers like Gingle have announced releases of triple channel DDR3 memory kits that are fully compatible with Intel's Core i7 processors. Furthermore, for enhanced memory performance, Intel has decided to mount the memory controllers directly onto the processor die. A high speed link is available if another processor wants to access the information on the memory controllers on another core. This means that instead of the processor having to retrieve information from external memory controllers, the processors now have direct access to the instructions. This improves performance dramatically.

Tests ran by reputable technology websites have showed improvements in all areas - graphics processing, CPU processing, and higher reliability when overclocked.

Of course, given the raw power offered by the new Core i7 processors, a better architecture has to be available to allow faster communication between the different components. For this reason, the Core i7 processors can only be used on motherboards with the X58 chipset. In other words, whoever wants to upgrade to the new Core i7 processors will have to give up their old motherboards.

The X58 motherboards support Intel Quickpath Interconnect. This is Intel's way of establishing faster communications between the various components.

The new motherboards also features support for high speed hard drives. Both internal and external disk drives can run up to 3GB/s.

Seagate recently announced the release of the Savvio 15K.2 second generation, 2.53 hard drive. This new generation hard drive can run at 15,000 RPM (twice the speed of traditional hard drives) and can save up to 70% in terms of power consumption. For server farms that use many hard disk drives, the energy savings can amount to something substantial.

Everything appears to be pointed in the right direction - faster systems, higher reliability, and more cost savings. Enthusiasts have a lot to cheer about.

Today while visting google something caught my eye! A new google browser whoa! Google is one of the best search engines around not to mention everything else google has so the new browser has to be good right? Well today I will be reviewing the new google web browser, will it be the new firefox or sink like a rock?

A fresh take on the browser

At Google, we spend much of our time working inside a browser. We search, chat, email and collaborate in a browser. And like all of you, in our spare time, we shop, bank, read news and keep in touch with friends - all using a browser. People are spending an increasing amount of time online, and they're doing things never imagined when the web first appeared about 15 years ago.

Since we spend so much time online, we began seriously thinking about what kind of browser could exist if you started from scratch and built on the best elements out there. We realized that the web had evolved from mainly simple text pages to rich, interactive applications and that we needed to completely rethink the browser. What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that's what we set out to build.

So today we're releasing the beta version of a new open source browser: Google Chrome.

On the surface, we designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple. To most people, it isn't the browser that matters. It's only a tool to run the important stuff - the pages, sites and applications that make up the web. Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

Under the hood, we were able to build the foundation of a browser that runs today's complex web applications much better . By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. We improved speed and responsiveness across the board. We also built V8, a more powerful JavaScript engine, to power the next generation of web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers.

This is just the beginning - Google Chrome is far from done. We've released this beta for Windows to start the broader discussion and hear from you as quickly as possible. We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too, and we'll continue to make it even faster and more robust.

We owe a great debt to many open source projects, and we're committed to continuing on their path. We've used components from Apple's WebKit and Mozilla's Firefox, among others - and in that spirit, we are making all of our code open source as well. We hope to collaborate with the entire community to help drive the web forward.

The web gets better with more options and innovation. Google Chrome is another option, and we hope it contributes to making the web even better.

After reading the above it sounds like they have combined the best of browsers together. After testing out the new Google Chrome web browser the first thing I have to say is I was very suprised with Google Chrom's power, speed, and its friendly interface. This is by far the easiest to use browser I have ever used. Speed wise I find it to be equal to Mozilla FireFox Web Browser. I think in the future and present that this new Google Chrom Web Browser will be one of the best!

So go give it a test drive!

Beginners Guide To Torrent Downloading

Alot of people are unsure of the way torrent downloading works so today ive decided to make a guide. Lets start from the begging, first ask your self what kind of internet connection you currently have. (ex DSL, Cable , T1) If you have dial up you are going to be waiting for about a year for 1 download to finish so I dont recommened joining the torrent world until you have a cable or higher connection.

Now we need to get or new lightweight Utorrent which is much like bitTorrent but a lighter and more powerful version. This program is what we will be using to download or upload our torrents.
Step1. Download Utorrent Here http://utorrent.com/

Step2. Install Utorrent (If You Need Help Installing Search Google)

Step3. Find a torrent. Today we are going to get our torrent from thepiratebay.org which is a torrent tracker.

The tracker computer does two things. It keeps a record of who has got the full copy of the file you are requesting and who is also requesting that file at the time. The people are referred to as “Seeders”, who have already downloaded 100% of the file and “leechers” who are in the middle of downloading the file. The tracker transfers your computer the information to connect to the seeders and leechers to download the file from them - to your computer. Obviously if there are no Seeders and leechers then you will not get the file. If you see a torrent file you want and there are no seeders, avoid it.

As you can see above this is thepiratebay.org homepage where you search for your torrent. Notic above I have entered in what I was searching for and have checked the right category which in this case is "Audio". Now search by pressing "Pirate Search".

Now you should have something that looks like the below image. As you can see the first thing you want to do after your search has completed in click the "SE" button which is circled in red below. What this will do is sort all the torrents results you got by most seeders. Meaning the highest seeded torrent you will see first. High seeded torrents is faster download speeds so you always want the high seeded torrents.
Now click on the torrent you wish to download ill be downloading the torrent with the red arrow next to it. After you click the torrent it will take you to the page where you download the torrent.
To download the torrent simply click the red circled link below.

Then something that looks like the below image will pop up. Make sure you choose open with uTorrent. Then click OK.

Now it should look something like the below image. The only thing you should do here is click OK.

After that it will automatically start downloading. Once its complete right click and click Open Containing Folder to find your downloaded items. I hope you enjoyed my guide.

84,000 Prisoners LOST in Uk

Unencrypted data on all 84,000 prisoners in England and Wales has gone missing after a Home Office contractor lost a USB stick on which it had been stored.

Contractor PA Consulting alerted the Home Office to the loss last Monday evening--and by midday Tuesday, the contractor confirmed "rigorous" searches had failed to uncover the whereabouts of the memory stick and its cachet of sensitive information.

According to a Home Office statement, the missing USB stick contains:

* Data relating to all prisoners in England and Wales, including names, birth dates, and, in some cases, expected prison release data of about 84,000 individuals
* Data relating to prolific and other priority offenders, including the names and birth dates of approximately 10,000 individuals
* Drug Interventions Programme data, with offenders' initials

"We have been made aware of a security breach at the offices of an external contractor involving the loss of personal information about offenders in England and Wales," a Home Office statement said. "A full investigation is being conducted. Police and the Information Commissioner have been informed."

It added: "The data was held in a secure format on the contractor's site. It was downloaded onto a memory stick for processing purposes, which has since been lost. The transfer of data on this assignment to the external contractor has been suspended."

Following the breach, a member of PA Consulting staff has been suspended, a Home Office representative said.

The company was appointed by the Home Office in June 2007 to provide application support for tracking prolific and priority offenders through the criminal justice system.

Asked whether the Home Office will be terminating PA Consulting's contract in light of the security breach, the representative told Silicon.com, "We are investigating the external contractor's contractual obligations."

The Home Office refused to comment on whether security measures should have been in place to prevent unencrypted data being transferred onto a USB stick. The representative also refused to clarify exactly what security requirements the Home Office has for external contractors who handle sensitive data.

PA Consulting--which was selected in 2004 to also work with the Home Office on the design, feasibility, and business and procurement elements of the government's ID card program--said in a statement, "We are collaborating closely with the Home Office on this matter. We have no further comment to make at this time."

This is not the first time sensitive data held by the government has gone missing.

Just last month, it emerged that the details of 45,000 people, including criminal records and banking and court information, have been lost or compromised in the past year by the Ministry of Justice. And last year, two CDs containing the confidential personal details of 25 million child benefit recipients were lost by HM Revenue & Customs.

"It is deeply worrying that after a number of major data losses and the publication of two government reports on high-profile breaches of the Data Protection Act, more personal information has been reported lost," David Smith, deputy commissioner for U.K. data protection watchdog the Information Commissioner's Office, said in a statement. "The data loss by a Home Office contractor demonstrates that personal information can be a toxic liability, if it is not handled properly and reinforces the need for data protection to be taken seriously at all levels. It is vital that sensitive information such as prisoner records is held securely at all times."

Smith added: "The Home Office has informed us that an internal investigation is being carried out into the data security arrangements between the Home Office and its contractor, PA Consulting. We expect the Home Office to provide us at the Information Commissioner's Office with a copy of the report and its findings. We will then decide what further action may be appropriate. Searching questions must be answered about what safeguards were in place to protect this information."

I thought I would share this with everyone. I was just shocked by the fact that a usb stick with 84,000 prisoner records on it would be lost. Maybe if it was a usb with the upcoming bake sale information on it, but prison records. Losing the times of prisoners release dates! Man how mad would you be if someone lost the time and date of getting released back into the world.

In the torrent world today there are a lot of places to find torrents. But which way is really the way to go when choosing a tracker to upload or download your torrents from?

Today I will review some private and public torrent trackers. So you can find exactly what your looking for in a torrent tracker!

When most people think of private torrent trackers(Ones requiring sign up to use.) the first thing that comes to mind is Demonoid.com. Thats why I will be reviewing Demonoid first.

Demonoid.com is known for its large community of sharing and often are where the newest movies, music, etc. are posted first and usually have pretty good speeds and a lot of seeders and less leechers than you would find at a public tracker. Over all Demoniod.com is a great private torrent tracker but sometimes its a bit difficult to navigate thru the torrents. Currently Demoniod.com is only accepting new users by invites from members. But they do open regestrations to public every once in a while so keep checking!

2. http://araditracker.com

Another private torrent tracker AradiTracker which is newer tracker. This is one of my favorite trackers because the speeds, avalibilty, seeders and the quality of the torrents are just awsome! They are pretty strict about ratios there so try to keep yours 1.0 or above. The regestrations are currently open so hurry on over a sign up.

Home sweet home The Pirate Bay. This is most popular free torrent tracker and a great one at that. Extremely user friendly, this is the place to go for new users and old alike in the torrent world. At the piratebay there is usually alot of seeders and leechers but it evens out. Download speeds usually arent the best but some time the pretty decent. And remember you dont even have to sign up to use thepiratebay.org!
